Biographical & Contact Information
I am originally from Lima, Peru. I attended the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (Lima, Peru), where I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology. In August 2004, I decided to join the BMB program, and since then I have been working in the Prakash Laboratory. You can contact me via email at srsantam_at_utmb_dot_edu.
Research Interests
I am mainly interested in the bypass of different DNA lesions by specialized polymerases, and also in the different protein complexes involved in DNA repair and replication.
